Club Monthly Meetings

Chibots meets every second Sunday of the month at the Schaumburg Public Library  from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, with a few notable exceptions:

  • Mother's Day: The Chibots meeting is moved to the third Sunday of May
  • Easter: Whenever Easter falls on the second Sunday of the month the meeting is moved to the third Sunday

The objective of the meeting, besides discussing some club business, is to create a fun, educational and relaxed enviroment where ideas can be exchanged and knowledge shared. Highlights of our meetings include:

  • Show, Tell and Ask - Here members and guests discuss and showcase their robotics and electronics projects. Everyone gets a chance to share their ideas and knowledge. This event is open to members and guests.
  • Lecture - At times we have guest lecturers that come and talk about a specific robotics related technology or projects. Topics that have been discussed include AVR architecture, underwater ROVs, vision systems, python for robotics, 12 Blocks development environment, Parallax Propeller, robot construction techniques and BEAM robotics (just to list a few).

Our meetings are open to the public and are free of charge. Guests are welcome.

Meetings are held in a large conference room on the second floor of the library. It's usually in the North Rasmussen Room, at the very end of the hall.
