Science Night 2011 at Spring Elementary School

April 2, 2011 update! Spring Elementary sent us a flier for their event. Find attached a PDF file at the bottom of this page.
Spring Avenue Elementary of La Grange will be having its Science Night on Friday April 8th from 6:00 to 8:30 PM and has invited us to come and demo our ‘bots.
This event is filled with hands on demonstrations where the kids participate and learn about different aspects of science. Science Night promises to be wildly entertaining and educational for kids and parents alike. We have been invited so that we can introduce young minds to the fantastic world of robotics, a field that involves computers, programming, electronics and mechanics. For this and coming years, the objective is to include more fields of science, including robotics, let's not disappoint Spring Elementary!
This science expo attracts anywhere from 150 to 200 kids, plus their respective parents. A lively, competitive and educational atmosphere makes it a good way to pass a Friday evening with the family.
Chibots members will be furnished with tables and electrical power; we just need to bring our electronic wonders and our enthusiasm. Please let me (or any Chibots officer or chair) know if you are available that evening and would like to participate in this event to demo your robots or mechanical devices.
